I made this clip after an overnight shift at homebase, it took a little bit of time to shoot and edit, but the reaction was worth it. The night previous to her birthday she stayed at her parents house and was on her way home, so I published it onto her social network wall whilst she was driving and waited for her to find it later on.
She got home and we hung out a little bit before deciding to retreat to the markets for supplies and food. I was beyond tired, only properly sleeping 3 hours after staying awake near 24 hours straight. We hopped into my car and she finally checked her FB page, and there waiting was my video I made her.
She was genuinely surprised, she watched it and almost had tears. I was nervous for her to watch it, maybe because it was beyond a heart on a sleeve of statements of love… but rather a complete and utter leap of faith.
It was well worth it. Totally worth it all!
